Unexpected Outage: Power Outage

Oct 15, 2009: Pacific Power reported a large outage in the Klamath Falls area due to loss of a transmission line.

Unexpected Outage: Internet Connectivity

Oct 2, 2009: This morning we had an unforeseen hardware failure which disrupted network and internet services. We have solved the issue and all services are restored.

Planned Maintenance: Internet Outage

Sep 25, 2009: ITS will performing maintenance tonight at 11pm. This will cause a short internet outage. Services will be back up by 11:30pm.

Planned Maintenance: Banner System

ITS is doing a major upgrade to our production Banner System. Access to Banner will be restricted from Wednesday, 02-Sep-2009, at 5:00 pm. to Tuesday, 08-Sep-2009, 5:00 am. We will make it available earlier if possible.
This downtime affects Banner, Web for Student, Faculty, and Employee, and Web Applications.

Unexpected Outage: Internet Connectivity

Internet connectivity was down from 2:00 am to 6:30 am on the 1st of September due to an issue with upstream provider, problem has been resolved.

Planned Maintenance: Email Migration

We are migrating from Exchange 2007 from Exchange 2003 on August 15th 2009. This change will be seamless for Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007 users and there's nothing users will need to do.

Planned Maintenance: Office 2007 Upgrade

It's time to upgrade from Microsoft Office 2003 to Microsoft Office 2007

Microsoft stopped supporting Office 2003 in April 2009. ITS will stop supporting Office 2003 on October 30, 2009. If your Office 2003 installation requires support, the Help Desk will upgrade it to Office 2007. It's our goal to make this transition as smooth as possible. We are here to help!

Unexpected Outage: Mail Outage

August 9th 2008 we experienced a short delay of e-mail services due to a problem with a controller on our disk storage system. We have made a temporary repair and a new part has been ordered and is scheduled to be installed on Monday.
