On June 10th 2019 five Oregon Tech faculty, Staff, and administrators attended an Achieve the Dream workshop held by Open Oregon Educational Resources and hosted Western Oregon State University.
The workshop lead by Achieve the Dream
was structured to build a vision and plan for creating a zero additional cost degree for students. This would mean a tuition only cost to students from start to finish. The vision of the Oregon Tech team at this workshop is:
The zed degree model at Oregon Tech will improve advancement and engagement in pedagogy through re-purposing student funds to empower students in financial success, information access, retention through their education, and success beyond the university.
