By far the greatest thing about the Software program and CSET department is the family atmosphere. The professors have an open-door policy so we can talk to them basically any time they’re not in class, they even host pizza study sessions and code parties. Our professors are so much more than just teachers – they’re life coaches, mentors, and second parents.

I was considering changing careers, and decided to look at accredited online programs nationwide. Of the 25+ schools I came across online, I chose Oregon Tech Online because they were not pushy. In fact, the program director made me shadow a professional to make sure that I was really interested in the program - before accepting my application.

I have my dream job. I was lucky enough to get three internships before I graduate and test out several areas of civil engineering and find what I’m passionate about. I interned with Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers in Denver last summer and loved it so much I’m going back! I get to work on multibillion dollar design-build projects, where I optimize design of roadways to help the company win jobs, and I wouldn’t want to do anything different!
