In two to three sentences, please describe your job…

I am currently the Corporate Quality Manager at MCX, Inc. I proactively work on improving internal and external systemic processes. I work closely with customers, suppliers and our investment team to prevent non-conformities and improve overall profitability.

What is it you enjoy most about your job?

My favorite aspect about my job is the diversity that comes with it. I can be working on strategic planning one day, and then be presenting a PowerPoint presentation in front of a potential client the next. My job has allowed me to travel and acquire unique experiences.

How did Oregon Tech prepare you for your job?

Oregon Tech gave me the opportunity to touch base on all the critical areas in a business. I walked into this company 7 years ago with an arsenal of knowledge that helped me get to where I am at today.

What advice would you give to a driven Oregon Tech business management student?

My advice for current Oregon Tech Business students is to embrace “lifelong” learning. Continue to learn through learning opportunities and experiences. This will help you grow personally and professionally.

What did you enjoy most about your time at Oregon Tech?

At Oregon Tech, I enjoyed the relationships I established with professors and classmates. I met outstanding individuals who I still keep in contact with.

In the last six months, what new believe, behavior, or habit has most improved your life?

I started working out every day during my lunch. I find this to be very therapeutic and it helps me be very productive for the second half of the day.

Have you done anything interesting over the summer?

I have spent my summer enjoying my little family. I am now engaged, and I have an 18-month-old son named Julian Cole. He’s been our center of attention and it’s been an amazing journey thus far.
