Renewable Energy and Smart Grid Consortium Exploratory Event

The Oregon Tech Renewable Energy and Smart Grid Consortium held an Exploratory Event for on April 22, 2011 from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Oregon Tech’s East Metro Campus.

Oregon Institute of Technology was awarded a $2.5 million grant in 2010 from the Department of Energy through their Strategic Training and Education in Power Systems program. The three-year grant provided Oregon Tech with the resources to support an applied research consortium with energy-related businesses who want to collaborate on addressing the nation’s energy challenges. Innovative leader in the energy industry were invited to help shape the consortium and benefit from the opportunity to develop, test or deploy technologies and processes that result from this industry-led collaborative research.
