Student speakers announced for Oregon Institute of Technology’s virtual commencement

Each year, graduating students from Oregon Tech are selected to represent their college of study as commencement speakers at the annual ceremony. Representing the Class of 2021 are Josie Page Hanel, Christian Gomez, and Walker M. York for the Oregon Institute of Technology virtual commencement ceremony June 12, 2021.

Whereas Oregon Tech typically holds separate celebrations in June for graduating classes from Klamath Falls, Portland-Metro, Seattle and Salem campuses and teaching sites, this year will combine all campus ceremonies and instead separate the broadcasts into a ceremony for the College of Engineering, Technology and Management, and a ceremony for the College of Health, Arts and Sciences. Each ceremony will be presented through YouTube on Saturday, June 13 beginning at 9:50 a.m.

The graduates at the polytechnic’s Portland-metro campus include 247 individuals – inclusive of those who have completed degree requirements last Summer and Fall, Winter and Spring Terms this academic year; and additional students who are completing requirements this Summer.
