Three CSET programs, one common first year experience at Oregon’s only polytechnic university!
Our shared first year curriculum gives students a strong foundation in computing and engineering while they explore their interests and then choose the program that best fits their goals in Computer Engineering Technology, Embedded Systems Engineering Technology, or Software Engineering Technology.
Degree Programs
Computer Engineering Technology
Computer Engineering Technology graduates design and test hardware, software, and embedded systems that apply digital logic and computer systems to solve real problems across industries, from manufacturing to consumer electronics, and often work in roles spanning application engineering, customer support, and technical sales.
Embedded Systems Engineering Technology
Embedded Systems Engineering Technology focuses on building the software that runs the “unseen” computers inside everyday devices, from cars like Tesla vehicles and aircraft systems to smart appliances and industrial robots, giving students deep expertise in low level, hardware close code for high demand embedded and IoT systems.
Software Engineering Technology
Software Engineering Technology blends software engineering theory with intensive hands on practice, preparing students to enter the computing professions ready to design, build, test, and manage real world systems. From Software Testing and Design Patterns in the sophomore year to Project Management and Software Quality Assurance in the junior and senior years, students build the core skillset expected of modern software engineers.
