Klamath Falls
June 29, 2012
Oregon Tech News Release

The Oregon Tech Foundation invites students currently attending Oregon Institute of Technology (Oregon Tech) or who have been admitted to the university to apply for scholarship support for the 2012-13 academic year.

The Oregon Tech Foundation has approximately 60 scholarships available for this application period, totaling $100,000 in aid. The scholarship application period for this summer is July 1-15, 2012 and can be accessed at www.oit.edu/otfscholars.

Scholarship awards are based on a variety of criteria including academic performance and financial need. Many scholarships are tailored to provide support to students who need it most; while others are designed to support students who excel in certain fields of study.

To be eligible to apply for an Oregon Tech Foundation scholarship, students must be currently enrolled or accepted to attend Oregon Tech for Fall 2012 and have a valid and current student identification number.

Students who are already receiving an Oregon Tech Foundation scholarship for the 2012-13 year are not eligible for award during the summer process. OHSU nursing students are eligible for support for their pre-nursing year plus one additional year.

For more information, please contact the Financial Aid Office at Oregon Tech at 541-885-1280 or dollars@oit.edu. Questions regarding admission should be directed to the Oregon Tech Office of Admissions at 541-885-1150 or email at oit@oit.edu.

The Oregon Tech Foundation exists solely to promote the Oregon Institute of Technology and it involves philanthropic and volunteer resources in the life of the university. Oregon Tech Foundation supports Oregon Tech by developing and stewarding relationships with alumni, friends, and other strategic partners.  The Oregon Tech Foundation is a charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. About Oregon Tech

Founded in Klamath Falls in 1947, Oregon Institute of Technology is one of seven institutions in the Oregon University System, and the only public institute of technology in the Pacific Northwest. Oregon Tech provides degree programs in engineering and health technologies, management, communications and applied sciences that prepare students to be effective participants in their professional, public and international communities through hands-on learning. Oregon Tech's main campus is in Klamath Falls and a new campus will open in Wilsonville in Fall 2012. The Wilsonville campus is the result of the consolidation of the university's four Portland metro area sites. The university also has sites in West Portland, Salem, La Grande, and Seattle, as well as online degree offerings. Visit www.oit.edu to learn more about Oregon Institute of Technology.
