Scholarships specific to students transferring from a community college to a four-year college or university.

Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship
Due Date: Varies by campus
Scholarship Amount: Varies
Eligibility: Outstanding community college students who demonstrate financial need, will to succeed and breadth of interest and activities. Applicants should demonstrate achievement and academic ability, desire to engage in and contribute to the world, self-confidence, and resilience.

2016-17
 

Charlotte Dentistry Dental Hygienist/Assistant & Humanitarian Scholarship
Due Date:
 December 15, 2016
Scholarship Amount: $2,000
Eligibility: Scholarship is offered to students pursuing a certification or degree in dental hygiene education, dental assistant or a related field at an accredited college or university in the U.S. Must have completed at least one year of dental hygiene or dental assistant curriculum and have a minimum 2.5 GPA.

Future of Assisted Living Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: Three awards of $2,000 each
Eligibility: Students enrolled in an associate's degree, bachelor's degree or graduate level program at an accredited 2-year college or 4-year university during the 2015-2016 academic year. An introductory bio and a 500-word essay are required.

Veteran Benefits Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: Three awards of $2,000 each
Eligibility: Students enrolled in an associate's degree, bachelor's degree or graduate level program at an accredited 2-year college or 4-year university during the 2016-2017 academic year. A letter of introduction and a 500-word essay are required.

Caring.com Student-Caregiver Scholarship

 December 31, 2016
Scholarship Amount: Three awards of $1,500 each
Eligibility: For students attending a U.S. university or college in Fall Term 2016, who have been caring for an older relative while attending school. Includes current high school students who are matriculating in Fall 2016 and have been involved in caregiving during high school and intend to continue while attending college.

Healthcare Leaders Scholarship

 January 29, 2017
Scholarship Amount: $1,000
Eligibility: Scholarship is offered to students entering or currently pursuing an educational program related to nursing or medicine. Students must be at least 17 years of age and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. A 600-1,000 word essay is required.

Pride Foundation Scholarships

Scholarship Amount:  varies with award
Eligibility:  Pride Foundation is offering over 50 different scholarships to LGBTQ and straight ally students from Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon or Washington.

Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber Scholarship
Due Date: January 31, 2017
Scholarship Amount: Varies
Eligibility: Applicant must be of Hispanic ancestry, permanently residing in Oregon or Clark County, Washington and must be currently attending a high school in Oregon or Clark County, Washington or have attended a high school in Oregon OR Clark County, Washington and be currently enrolled in an accredited college. Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent residents, asylees, or individuals, who are lawfully authorized to work full-time without restriction for any U.S. employer and who, at the time of application, possess lawful evidence of employment authorization. Minimum GPA of 3.0 required.

Sleepopolis Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: $1,000
Eligibility: Current high school (or home-schooled) seniors attending school in the United States OR current college students already studying at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution. Must be a US citizen with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Eligibility: Child of a police officer enrolled in a College, university or technical school with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

ABC Humane Wildlife Control & Prevention Academic Scholarship

Eligibility: Applicants must be a woman studying or planning to study the fields of science (excluding social sciences i.e. economics), engineering, mathematics, or technology

Scholarship Amount: $500
Eligibility: The scholarship is available any student enrolled in a NON-nursing college degree program, certificate course, or graduate program with a minimum 3.0 GPA. A 500-800 word essay is required.
