Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship
Due Date: Varies by campus
Scholarship Amount: Varies
Eligibility: Outstanding community college students who demonstrate financial need, will to succeed and breadth of interest and activities. Applicants should demonstrate achievement and academic ability, desire to engage in and contribute to the world, self-confidence, and resilience.

2014-15

OCAPA Concrete Industry Scholarship
Due Date: May 16, 2014
Scholarship Amount: Varies
Eligibility: Any junior, senior or graduate student enrolled at an Oregon university or college encompassing disciplines related to the constructions materials industry and who are enrolled full time for Fall 2014.

Pagesz Writing Contest
Due Date: July 1, 2014
Scholarship Amount: $1000
Eligibility: Applicants must write an essay on the topic of why people are fascinated with the supernatural on TV. Students must be 18 years or older, current high school seniors, undergraduates, or graduate students attending an accredited college or private career school in fall of 2014. Applicants must also be U.S. citizens or holders of a valid and current U.S. Visa.

Goedeker’s College Scholarship
Due Date: July 31, 2014
Scholarship Amount: $500, plus two honorable mentions at $100
Eligibility: Undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled at an accredited college during the Spring 2014 semester and have a 3.0 GPA or higher. A 300-word essay is required.

P.E.O. Scholarship
Due Date: June 25, 2014
Scholarship Amount: $500 minimum
Eligibility: Open to women currently enrolled at Oregon Tech or Klamath Community college. Academic standing, financial need, and potential to reach goals will be considered.

Saint Alphonsus Medical Center
Due Date: April 15, 2014
Scholarship Amount: $1,500
Eligibility: Must be a graduate of a Baker County High School or a current Baker County resident who has at least a college sophomore status by September of 2014 and who is enrolled in a health care field, such as RN, LPN, Radiology or Medical Laboratory Technician, Occupational, Physical or Respiratory Therapy or similar areas.

Eligibility: Students who are in the following areas of study: forestry engineering, forest resources, welding, diesel mechanics and other areas related to the wood products industry.

Sports Unlimited 2014 Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: $1,000
Eligibility: Applicants may be graduating high school seniors, or freshmen or sophomores in college. The application includes a short questionnaire and a 500-1000 word essay about a coach or mentor.

Emergency University Spring 2014 Scholarship Opportunity

Scholarship Amount: $1,000
Eligibility: High school seniors or college undergraduates are invited to create and submit an Emergency Response Plan.

HR Scholarship
Due Date: April 30, 2014
Scholarship Amount: $1,000
Eligibility: Applicants must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Human Resources or an HR-related program (i.e. business). Undergrads must have completed at least one HR management course and have a minimum GPA of 2.5.

Illuminating Ideas Scholarship
Due Date: April 30, 2014
Scholarship Amount: $1,000
Eligibility: Applicants must write a 500-1000 word persuasive letter to their school’s administration encouraging them to adopt energy efficient lighting fixtures in their sports arena or stadiums. Eligible students are current graduating high school seniors or enrolled in an undergraduate program.

Scholarship Amount: Five awards of $1,000 each
Eligibility: Applicants must be enrolled in an associate’s, bachelor’s, or graduate level program in the fields of gerontology, long term care administration, social work, medicine, nursing, or sociology at an accredited college or university. A letter of introduction and a 500-word essay are required.

Eligibility: Applicants must be junior or senior undergraduates, pursing a degree in Information Technology with a focus on mobile technology application development. Students must also have a 3.0 GPA or higher and demonstrate financial need.
