New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation (NSO) is held each year on the weekend preceding the start of fall term classes. Students who come to orientation receive Oregon Tech gear, free meals, and the chance to win great prizes while learning all about being an Oregon Tech Owl!

The mission of NSO is to empower incoming Oregon Tech students by providing opportunities and experiences which are designed to:

Integrate students with the campus community
Equip new students with resources and areas of support
Connect with their fellow students
Facilitate transition and foster success in collaboration with
other campus departments and Week of Welcome programs

Benefits for students who come to Orientation include:

1st Friday of Winter and Spring Terms

A special reception hosted by the division of Student Affairs where you can meet the Directors and learn about the areas of involvement and support at Oregon Tech. Refreshments provided, please email orientation@oit.edu for details.

Meal with a Mentor

Orientation is your chance to learn about the wide array of resources available to you as a student. Our team of student Orientation Mentors are excited to welcome you personally to the Klamath Falls campus over a complimentary meal to share their insights with you about Oregon Tech, academic success, and campus involvement. Returning Students Get Involved!
Orientation is planned for students by students. A team of student leaders work diligently all summer to put together an awesome program for new and transfer students. The vision of the NSO Team is carried out by an incredible team of volunteers who will participate during the week of welcome. If you would like to become a part of the 2016 NSO Volunteer Team, click here to fill out this online form.

Local Business Can Get Involved!
The Orientation Team is seeking businesses in the Klamath Basin to get involved in welcoming our incoming students!
