New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation (NSO) is held each year on the weekend preceding the start of fall term classes. It is designed to help new students acclimate to Oregon Tech, meet their fellow students, and feel ready for the start of a successful year. Students who come to orientation receive Oregon Tech gear, free meals, and the chance to win great prizes while learning all about being an Oregon Tech Owl! Benefits for students who come to Orientation include:
  • Free meals for the weekend
  • Free shirt
  • Events and games Thursday- Sunday
  • Chance to win prizes
  • Meet fellow new/transfer students
  • Meet staff and returning students from their major
  • Have a discounted shopping spree at Fred Meyer

Campus Life also hosts New & Transfer Student Orientation during the Winter and Spring quarters, which take place one evening during the first week of classes each term.

The Orientation Team is seeking businesses in the Klamath Basin to get involved in welcoming our incoming students!

Returning Students Get Involved!

Orientation is planned for students by students. A team of student leaders work diligently all summer to put together an awesome program for new and transfer students. The vision of the NSO Team is carried out by an incredible team of volunteers who will participate during the week of welcome.
