PT721-724 Clinical Experiences I-IV
During Fall Year 2, Summer Year 3, Winter Year 3, and Spring Year 3, DPT students participate in Clinical Education courses. During these 8-10 week experiences, the Director of Clinical Education (in collaboration with the student) procures an external clinical rotation for the student. The goals for clinical education are:
- To provide each student with breadth and quality of clinical education experiences that meet program learning goals and foster application of academic knowledge and development of well-rounded clinicians through the guidance of qualified clinical education faculty and clinical instructors.
- To prepare students to refine and apply professional and ethical behaviors and evidence-informed practice during clinical education courses to become quality entry-level Doctors of Physical Therapy.
- To develop clinical partnerships for full-time and integrated clinical education experiences that allow exposure to physical therapy practice across the lifespan and continuum of care.
