During Winter Year 1, Spring Year 1, and Summer Year 2 Students participate in Integrated Clinical Education courses. The goal for these course are:

  • To provide opportunities for DPT students to participate with community participants to practice physical therapy skills (patient safety, communication, documentation, examination, evaluation, and intervention planning) during either community programs or community practice settings.
  • To serve the underserved community by providing preventative and directed interventions
  • To provide opportunities for DPT students and faculty to produce clinical evidence for the outcomes of these opportunities as learning experiences and providing positive outcomes to the community participants.
