What is Peer Tutoring?
Peer Tutoring is a FREE academic support service available to all Oregon Tech students. We offer in-person and online tutoring sessions with to support your courses and supplement your learning experience. We encourage a collaborative environment to review coursework, work through difficult subject material, and develop study strategies for upcoming exams. Turn your appointment into a study group, request weekly appointments for a dedicated study time, or drop by the tutoring center with last minute homework questions.
Peer Tutoring Services
One-on-One Tutoring
- Personalized support tailored to your learning needs. Meet individually with a peer tutor who can explain concepts, answer questions, and help you build confidence in the subject at your own pace.
Drop In Tutoring
- Get quick help without an appointment. Stop by during drop-in hours to ask questions, work through tricky problems, or clarify material. Perfect for when you just need a little extra support on the spot. If a tutor for a specific subject is not available, we can also help you a time to work with them.
Group Tutoring and Study Sessions
- Learn alongside classmates in a collaborative setting. Work through course material together with guidance from a peer tutor, share strategies, and strengthen your understanding through discussion and practice. May be arranged for specific meeting times throughout the term, or just before a midterm or final exam.
Online and Distance Education
- Access tutoring from anywhere. Connect with a peer tutor through our online platform for the same helpful, student-to-student support—convenient, flexible, and easy to use.

Stop by during open hours to get help in Math, CSET, and Science classes! You can come in for a quick question or come hang out and do your homework there. The Learning Assistants are happy to help you through difficult concepts, study review, or any questions you may have about the course content.
