Transfer Student Scholarship

Scholarships specific to students transferring from a community college to a four-year college or university.

Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship
Due Date: Varies by campus
Scholarship Amount: Varies
Eligibility: Outstanding community college students who demonstrate financial need, will to succeed and breadth of interest and activities. Applicants should demonstrate achievement and academic ability, desire to engage in and contribute to the world, self-confidence, and resilience.

Joann Burns Memorial Scholarship for Health and Science Education
Due Date:
May 25, 2018
Scholarship Amount: Varies
Eligibility: This scholarship is available to any student accepted into or enrolled in a full-time program leading to a career in the Health and/or Science field. Priority will be given to individuals who have lost a relative to cancer (parent, sibling, aunt, uncle or grandparent), attended a Klamath Basin high school (public or private) or volunteered 50 hours of community service and/or show proof of hours spent aiding an individual battling cancer. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75, with preference being given to 3.0 and above.

James Bocchi Memorial Scholarship for Healthcare Education

Scholarship Amount: Varies
Eligibility This scholarship is available to any student accepted to begin or enrolled in a full-time program leading to a career in the healthcare field.  First consideration will be given to students enrolled in nursing programs.  Priority will also be given to individuals who have attended a Klamath County or Klamath Basin high school, public or private, but is not limited to such students. A minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA is required.

Klamath Falls Elks Nurse’s and Health Career’s Education Fund at Sky Lakes Medical Center Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: Varies
Eligibility: This scholarship is restricted to nursing and other health career education in an amount not to exceed the tuition assessed by Oregon State System of Higher Education Institutions. Priority is given to nursing students attending OHSU School of Nursing at OIT but students studying in all health career fields are encouraged to apply. Priority also given to graduates of a Klamath County or Klamath Basin high school in any school, public or private, within the County or Basin. The awarding committee will consider only applicants with a cumulative G.P.A. of at least 2.00 or equivalent.

B. Davis Scholarship

Eligibility: The scholarship is available to high school juniors and seniors as well as students currently registered in any post-secondary institution. There is an essay requirement.

Holman Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: Varies
Eligibility: This scholarship is available to student athletes enrolled in any health occupations program at Oregon Institute of Technology.  Students participating in OIT basketball, softball, baseball, track, volleyball or other sports are eligible to apply.

Ampronix College Scholarship

Eligibility: Must be a resident of the US, enrolled as an undergraduate and performed at least 20 hours of community service in the last year.

CIA Medical Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: Three awards of $1,000 each and seven awards of $250 each
Eligibility: Must be a legal resident of the United States (or holding a valid student visa) studying at an accredited two or four-year program at a college in the U.S. A 1,000-3,000 word essay is required.

Eligibility: The scholarship is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post-secondary educational institution. Engineering as a field of study is not a requirement. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by evaluating the applicant's response to the essay prompt located on the AES website.
