How long I have been working here, and what path brought me to Oregon Tech

I joined the Advancement Team in January 2021. I had worked in the Pacific Northwest at Washington State University Tri-Cities and developed a love for the people and places in this part of the world. As I learned more about the university, the leadership, faculty, and staff, I decided this is a place I would love to work and live. My wife and kids felt the same way. So after having served for over 35 years in higher education and national not-for-profit organizations, we packed up and moved from Macon, Georgia, to Klamath Falls, Oregon. It is an honor to serve in my capacity at the university, and I welcome opportunities to get to know each of you.

What I am most passionate about professionally

Student support and seeing students walk across the stage receive their diploma, and whenever possible, follow them as they move into their next chapter in life.

Why I enjoy working in Advancement & Alumni Relations

The advancement, alumni team, and marketing & communication team is phenomenal. It is an honor to work with them. I enjoy the work because I believe strongly in the mission of Oregon Tech and evaluate every day by how much we were able to move the university forward toward mission fulfillment.
