A drill will be held on the Oregon Tech campus on Wednesday, March 12th at 10 a.m. to simulate a hazardous materials response scenario. The drill, led by Klamath County Fire District 1, will allow fire and medical personnel to work with Sky Lakes Medical Center in response to the incident. Command and control facets of the exercise will be based at Oregon Tech and provide Oregon Tech with the opportunity to run through emergency procedures.

Providing protection to almost 200 square miles in and around the City of Klamath Falls and serving approximately 52,000 patrons, Fire District 1 Hazmat Teams frequently hold trainings for accomplishing chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive mitigation missions. Please do not interrupt the training drill.
