Oregon Tech hosted the 2026 Regional Math Contests on April 14. The competition was open to high school students currently enrolled in Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus in Klamath and Lake Counties.
For over 36 years, the Oregon Tech Mathematics department has sponsored this event during Math Awareness Month each April to engage more high school students in mathematics.
This year, 150 high school students and their math instructors from Lost River High School, Klamath Union High School, Henley High School, Mazama High School, Eagle Ridge High School, and Crosspoint Christian School attended the competition at Oregon Tech.
Students compete in two sections of the event: Oregon Tech math contests and state-level exams. The faculty in the Oregon Tech Mathematics department participates in this event by administering tests, judging the competition, and providing administrative support.
Oregon Tech’s Office of the President and Educational Partnerships and Outreach sponsor the event.
