Oregon Institute of Technology will hold its annual Tech Trek on Monday, February 20, 2012, from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Klamath Falls campus. The event is an opportunity for prospective students and their families to visit Oregon Tech while classes are in session and experience a day in the life of an Oregon Tech student through a variety of activities.
During Tech Trek, students may join faculty members as they discuss their programs, tour the campus with a Tech Ambassador, sit in on a college class with current students, and attend an Admissions and Financial Aid presentation.
Interested students should register online to reserve a space at the Tech Trek event. Attendance is free and family members are welcome to attend with their student. Lunch is complimentary for the prospective student; family members pay a reduced fee of $5 per person.
Students may consider staying in the Residence Hall the night before Tech Trek. Parents are welcome, or they can stay nearby if they prefer a hotel. Participants should check in at the Residence Hall by 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 19th to join current Oregon Tech students for pizza and a movie. For more information about staying in the Residence Hall, call 541.885.1094 or follow the directions after registering online. Oregon Tech Housing and Residence Life charges $20 - $30 per person depending upon room options.
