Applied Mathematics (B.S.) Program
The Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics at Oregon Tech combines rigorous mathematical theory with hands-on technical application. Designed to bridge abstract concepts and real-world problem solving, the curriculum builds a strong foundation in calculus, differential equations, linear algebra, numerical methods, and statistical analysis.
Students pair core mathematical training with targeted sequences in external technical fields, such as physics, engineering, data science, or computer programming. This customizable approach equips graduates to model complex systems, analyze data, and solve critical industry challenges. Whether preparing for immediate entry into high-demand careers—such as actuarial science, data analysis, and technical consulting—or pursuing advanced graduate studies, Oregon Tech’s applied mathematics program provides the flexible, analytical tools needed for success in an evolving workforce.
