Students may earn a certificate or specialization from Oregon Tech as a non-degree seeking student. However, if you want to earn an Associate, Bachelor, or Master degree from Oregon Tech you must be admitted. Please contact and meet with an Admissions Counselor to assist with eventual admission to the university. Non-Degree students are cautioned that taking classes as a non-degree status does not guarantee eventual admission to Oregon Tech. Non-Degree students, even those who perform well in their Oregon Tech classes, must also meet eligibility requirements for Freshman or Transfer admissions requirements to be formally admitted for degree completion.
Non-Degree students can take up to 8 credits per term.
Some services such as financial aid, academic advising, and transfer evaluation are not offered to non-degree students. Without formal admission there is no binding agreement between the student and the university for completing an Oregon Tech degree.
To submit a non-degree application, Apply Online no later than one week prior to the start of class. Official transcripts are not required to obtain non-degree status, but students must provide them to verify pre-requisites for registration purposes. Non-degree students are subject to the Registration Policies of the Office of the Registrar.
