First-Year Students, Getting Started
Oregon Tech welcomes first-year students from Oregon, the country, and internationally! First-year students are defined as high school graduates or GED (General Education Diploma) recipients who have not been previously enrolled as degree-seeking students at a college or university.
As Oregon's Polytechnic University, our unique, hands-on approach to learning and student engagement will ignite your passion and give you the experience needed to meet your career and life goals. Our students are smart, hard-working, and end up earning the highest starting salaries in the state — average of $60,000 a year — of any college graduates, and have a 96% success rate of being employed or seeking an advanced degree within six months of graduation!
