A conversation between Chair of the Board of Trustees, Jessica Gomez, and President Naganathan to kick off the 2021/2022 academic year. Dr. Naganathan will share his thoughts and ideas on a wide variety of topics, including answers to your submitted questions, the university’s reopening plan for fall term, and some of the exciting projects happening at Oregon Tech.

The Oregon Tech Together speaker series featured an exclusive online conversation with President Naganathan for the month of August. Hear Dr. Naganathan share his thoughts and ideas on a wide variety of topics, including answers to submitted questions, highlights from this historic year, the university’s reopening plan for fall term, and some of the exciting initiatives, programs, and projects happening at Oregon Tech.

Oregon Tech Together: A Conversation with Dr. Dan Petersen

The Oregon Tech Together speaker series featured an in-depth look at the College of Health, Arts and Sciences for the month of September. Get to know the newly appointed dean of the College of HAS, Dr. Dan Peterson. Get your all-access tour as we kick off the new academic year with Dean Peterson.

This virtual event is facilitated by two-time alumna Ashley Cox '08, '19 as she takes a break from her Physician's Assistant studies to guide the conversation.

For the month of October, the Oregon Tech Together speaker series featured a conversation with the Director of Athletics, John Van Dyke. Take a behind-the-scenes tour of everything related to our Hustlin' Owls athletic programs

This virtual event was facilitated by Travis Thomas '19, former Oregon Tech Hustlin' Owl track star and member of the Alumni Advisory Board.

Oregon Tech Together: A Conversation with Dr. Tom Keyser

For the month of November, The Oregon Tech Together speaker series featured an in-depth look at the College of Engineering, Technology and Management. Everyone is invited to this virtual event as we get to know the dean of the College of ETM, Dr. Tom Keyser.

This virtual event was facilitated by alumna Jessica Schmidt '19. Jessica and her two classmates were known as The Reclaimers and their student project won multiple awards, including the grand prize, at the 2019 InventOR competition.

Oregon Tech Together: A Conversation with Dr. Erin Foley

The Oregon Tech Together speaker series continued in December with an in-depth look at student life. Everyone is invited to this virtual event as we get to know Vice President of Student Affairs and Dean of Students, Dr. Erin Foley. 

This virtual event was facilitated by alumnus Allan Snippen '07. Allan is a CSET graduate and Senior Director of Software Engineering at International Game Technology (IGT) in Reno, NV and a very active and dedicated alum, hosting an annual BBQ for alumni in the Reno area.

Oregon Tech Together: A Conversation with Dr. Joanna Mott

The Oregon Tech Together speaker series continued in the new year with an in-depth look at academics. Everyone is invited to this virtual event as we get to know the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs of Oregon Tech, Dr. Joanna Mott.

This virtual event was facilitated by alumna Nellie Stewart '11. Nellie earned her degree in Applied Psychology and is currently working as the Executive Assistant and Project Manager for the Vice President of Finance & Administration on the Klamath Falls campus of Oregon Tech.

Oregon Tech Together: A Conversation with the ASOIT Presidents

The Oregon Tech Together speaker series continued in February with an in-depth look at the Associated Students of Oregon Institute of Technology (ASOIT). The president from the Klamath Falls campus, Mason Wichmann, and the president from the Portland-Metro campus, Peter Wantuck, both shared how student government has continued to work with students and clubs throughout these challenging times.

This virtual event was facilitated by alumna Chris Frazier '08. Chris earned her bachelor's degree in Communications with a minor in Psychology. She was a two-time ASOIT president and is a current member of the Alumni Advisory Board.

Oregon Tech Together: A Conversation with Dr. Jolyn Dahlvig

The Oregon Tech Together speaker series continued in March with an in-depth look at the Portland-Metro campus. Stefan Valenzuela, former ASOIT President from this campus and brand new alumnus, interviewed Dr. Jolyn Dahlvig, the Associate Dean of Students for Portland-Metro and the Interim Director of Career Services. Learn about the people and programs that make Oregon Tech's campus in Wilsonville such a special place.

Oregon Tech Together: A Conversation with Craig Campbell

The Oregon Tech Together speaker series continued in April with your backstage pass to the Oregon Manufacturing Innovation Center Research & Development (OMIC R&D). Trent LaMont, current Mechanical Engineering student and DeArmond Fellow, interviewed Craig Campbell, the Executive Director of OMIC R&D. This research facility located in Scappoose, OR is a collaborative space bringing together industry, higher education and government where Oregon Tech serves as the host, building owner and landlord. This is a great opportunity to learn about the exciting innovation happening at OMIC R&D and its significance in the region.

Oregon Tech Together: A Conversation with Dr. Ken Fincher

The Oregon Tech Together speaker series concluded the 2020-2021 academic year with one more conversation to share, this time with Dr. Ken Fincher, the Vice President of University Advancement and the Executive Director of the Oregon Tech Foundation. Dr. Fincher was interviewed by alumnus, James DeHoog '98. James is on the board of directors for the Oregon Tech Foundation, an entrepreneur and a dedicated volunteer and philanthropist.

Learn about the impact the Oregon Tech Foundation has on the university and the community. We are also excited to have a surprise guest join this event, an alumna who will be receiving a special award.
