The Oregon Senate has confirmed five new trustees for the Oregon Institute of Technology governing board. The trustees, confirmed June 16, are Cecelia Amuchastegui, David Cauble, Vijay Dhir, Ph.D., Johnnie Early II, Ph.D., and Don Gentry.

  • Cecelia Amuchastegui is a strategic planning/teacher evaluation education consultant in Klamath Falls, Ore.
  • David Cauble is President and Chief Executive Officer at Sky Lakes Medical Center in Klamath Falls, Ore.
  • Vijay Dhir, Ph.D., is a Distinguished Professor in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department at the University of California, Los Angeles.
  • Johnnie Early II, Ph.D., is Dean and Professor of the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Florida A&M University.
  • Don Gentry is a Natural Resources Specialist for the Klamath Tribes in Chiloquin, Ore.

The 15-member Oregon Tech Board of Trustees consists of 11 at-large positions; three positions filled by faculty, staff, and student members; and an ex-officio position held by Oregon Tech’s President.

The newly confirmed trustees began their service July 1, filling the positions of end-of-term trustees Jeremy Brown, Ph.D., Kathleen Hill, Jill Mason, Kelley Minty, and Fred Ziari.
