A Little Bit About Me

I was born and raised in Coos Bay, Oregon. I have one sister who is currently enrolled in the OHSU Nursing program, and she has encouraged me to achieve as she did throughout her schooling. I have a deep passion for mechanical systems and robotics, along with a hobby in photography and additive manufacturing. I have enjoyed volunteering at the clothing closet in the local Coos Bay area and look forward to exploring similar opportunities in Klamath Falls.

Why I Chose Oregon Tech and My Major

My major was a long-thought decision that was shaped through my experience working with robotics, the manufacturing department, as well as gaining experience in the Civil Engineering industry. The decision to attend Oregon Tech was also one that a significant amount of thought was put into, but the main points were the enjoyment of the campus and the cost.

My Influential Professors

I feel I have been most influenced by my manufacturing teacher who always encouraged personal discovery and problem-solving skills, and above all, allowing his students to excel in many CTE fields in the classroom and in their future careers.

My Greatest Learning Experience At Oregon Tech

My greatest learning experience has been in the Marshfield High School Manufacturing department, which not only allowed me to hone my own skills and learn better problem-solving skills, but also helped me work on my teaching ability, as I have helped with the lower classes when they are learning various machines and processes such as the Metal Lathe, End Mill, MIG Welding, CNC machines including Lathe, mill, CO2/ Fiber Laser and Plasma table.

My Plans After Graduation

I have two possible routes I may go with my degree. Either I will go into the Aerospace industry, possibly after a bit more schooling, or I will go into the mechanical engineering industry surrounding robotics or CNC of some sort.
