Extracurricular Activities

Some of my hobbies include listening to music, fishing, spending time with family and friends, going to concerts, trying new foods, taking care of my plants, being outdoors, and traveling.

A Little Bit About Me

I am very passionate about my relationship with those around me. I love to be around my family and friends. I think that spending time with them means so much to me, I truly don't know where I would be without them. I love to travel and try new things and then listen to music on the way of course. I also love to be outdoors; I used to go fishing all the time with my grandpa growing up so now in my adult life I can passionately say that I have taken up the hobby of fishing!

Why I Chose Oregon Tech and My Major

I chose Oregon Tech because of its small class sizes. In addition to this, I also wanted to go to college in a new town that I have never visited before. I changed my major to Communication Studies because I enjoyed the people in the major and always felt accepted and cared for. I also enjoyed the professors I met along the way, they are the ones who ultimately convinced me to change my major.

My Influential Professors

I would have to say that my most influential professors are Riley Richards, Kevin Brown, and Rosalind McClure. Professor McClure changed my perspective on my anatomy courses, and she was the one who really pushed me to finish these classes. Riley has been my number one person when it comes to my academic career. Not only has he pushed me to become a better student, but he has also opened my eyes to all the things that I am able to do. As for Kevin, he has opened my eyes to the world, and how I am able to become a better person, I have to say that he has been a great role model for me.

My Greatest Learning Experience At Oregon Tech

Over my last 4 years of being a student at Oregon Tech, my greatest learning experience is that with perseverance, you can do anything. I can humbly say that after my first year, I wanted to give up. But I knew that I had more to offer, not only for myself, but for my family and the school. I am one of many first-generation students at Oregon Tech, and I am proud to be one.

My Plans After Graduation

I would love to pursue a career in Public Relations in the future.
