A Little Bit About Me
I’ve lived in Amity for my whole life, and I am very proud of where I am from. I grew up in the country riding horses, going camping with my family, and playing sports. On Sundays, I go to church with my family and have dinner at my grandparents’ house. Aside from my Christian faith, my family is the most important thing to me, and I am grateful to have been raised by such a loving, supportive family who taught me the importance of hard work. At school, I am passionate about high achievement and challenging myself with high-level classes. I also play basketball and soccer for my high school, and I am involved in leadership, National Honor Society, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Why I Chose Oregon Tech and My Major
At the start of my senior year, my dad suggested adding Oregon Tech to the list of schools I was considering, so I scheduled a tour to make him happy and I'm glad I did! During my tour, I attended an information session about the Medical Imaging program, and it blew me away. When we got home from the tour, my parents and I were very impressed with everything we had seen. Soon after, I applied and was accepted!
My Influential Professors
The most influential teacher I have ever had is my mom who teaches kindergarten at Amity Elementary School. Despite the fact that I was never in her class, my mom has taught me so much. From teaching me how to read, to how to drive, she has really covered it all. The most valuable thing she has taught me, though, is how to love learning. I am so grateful to have had such an amazing teacher and to have her as my teacher every day. As I get older, I see how much she has taught me just by example, and I will be forever thankful to her for that. I would not be where I am today if it wasn’t for her.
My Plans After Graduation
After graduating, I plan to get a job at a hospital or clinic and begin my career in Medical Imaging! I also plan to get married and start a family someday and be involved in my church and my children’s school wherever I live.
