A Little Bit About Me
I was raised in gross poverty and still am. For as long as I can remember, my single mother has been either in community college or at OIT. When I graduated high school, she graduated with her bachelor's. I was very proud of her, and now she is in the family marriage therapy master's program. Because of her, I have been able to do robotics in high school, be into tech, and be me. She forced me into cross-country mountain biking during my high school years. I did well; during my first week, I was racing against the fastest kids on the team when I had never ridden a mountain bike in my life. The team gave me a donor bike to train and to race with. My history has made me tenacious, caring, and respectful of everyone. When I see my friends struggling, I drive there and talk.
Why I Chose Oregon Tech and My Major
I had a friend who insisted on making me go into dual majoring in software and embedded. I was helping him with a lab, and I already knew what was happening, as
My Influential Professors
There was a professor who taught SQL, whom I will look up to for a while. His name is Ighor. For a short bit, his contract with OIT was all messed up, and he taught us even though he was uncertain if he would be paid. He said he was doing it because he had a professor who did not teach well and wanted us to have a better experience. He always sprinted to the campus as he usually got out of work when class started. Unfortunately, I won't have any more classes with him, but he is a note-worthy professor.
My Greatest Learning Experience At Oregon Tech
The most significant learning experience is balancing your life with academics. I am still improving but did not have a healthy schedule for a few months. Balance is essential, and putting aside hobbies or social activities is challenging. But it is needed to be successful in academics and for your health. I put aside my sleep to keep my hobbies and social life intact for a while, but that was a blunder.
My Plans After Graduation
My recent visit to an innovation expo in Medford was a great learning experience. I discovered that embedded engineers are in high demand and that companies often require several years of experience for entry-level positions. However, this isn't the case in local areas, so I may stay put for a while to gain experience. I dream of exploring Germany and potentially finding a job there, but I might fall in love with an area and stay local.
