Extracurricular Activities
My extracurricular activities include basketball, and volleyball in terms of sports. I am also very involved in my leadership class and more specifically the activities committee. I am also a member of the FFA.
A Little Bit About Me
My name is Mary Schooler, and I’m 17 years old. I grew up on a hay farm in Langell Valley, Oregon. I have gone to Bonanza high school my entire life, and I have enjoyed it. I’m active in sports and clubs at Bonanza, which have opened many great opportunities for me. When I’m not in school, I’m usually helping my dad on his hay farm. I have my own herd of cattle that I profit off of each year.
Why I Chose Oregon Tech and My Major
I chose Oregon Tech because I have heard nothing but good things about it. I’m going into Biology Health Sciences, which is a program that is raved about at Oregon Tech. The fact that Oregon Tech has hands on curriculum excites me for my future. I chose to pursue my major in Biology Health Sciences because it will successfully prepare me for my future, as I want to go into the medical field.
My Influential Professors
My high school English teacher, Delana Heidrich has inspired and pushed me in many ways. She is very dedicated to our school and is willing to help out with anything she can. I’m very grateful to have had Mrs. Heidrich lead to me to where I’m at today.
My Greatest Learning Experience At Oregon Tech
Through dual credit classes, I’m able to take classes through OIT. One of my greatest Learning experiences has been through my Writing 122 class. I have learned multiple ways to create a good paper, but most importantly I have learned to write a professional research paper. In four of my other classes we have wrote research papers, and my Writing 122 class has been so valuable for all of them.
My Plans After Graduation
After graduating with my degree, I plan to apply to a Physician's Assistant Program. These programs typically take about a year long, which will guarantee me with the credentials and qualifications to become a physician's assistant. After all of my schooling is done, I hope to be employed as a PA at Sky Lakes.
