Why I Chose Oregon Tech and My Major
I come from a family that has worked in the civil engineering field for three generations. However, I will be the first to get my degree in Civil Engineering. Because of this, I wanted to go to an engineering school where I could work one-on-one with professors and not be just another number at a bigger school.
My Influential Professors
All of the CE professors have been very helpful in my career at Oregon Tech. Dr. Riley and Dr. Wang are two professors that have taken the extra time to make me feel confident in my work and stay on track in the classroom.
My Greatest Learning Experience At Oregon Tech
My greatest learning experience has been learning to balance baseball and school. Being that I am in the Civil Engineering program, school is already very demanding and time-consuming. I have learned that time is valuable and know when to put school or baseball first in order to be successful in both.
My Plans After Graduation
I plan to go back to Santa Clarita and work for my family's general engineering company. With my degree, I hope to make the company bigger and better with my knowledge from people that have more experience than me.
