A Little Bit About Me
I am the oldest of four siblings, and my family still plays a huge role in my life during college. For competitive running, I am very passionate about getting better and competing for OIT's track program. My education will always come before anything else, though, and I hold myself to very high standards. One of the things I enjoy most is spending time outdoors or hiking with friends.
Why I Chose Oregon Tech and My Major
I chose Oregon Tech because I wanted to receive a good education while also having the opportunity to run for the track team. Being from Klamath Falls also adds to the reasons I chose Oregon Tech, so I can remain closer to my family. Nursing has been a career I have wanted to pursue for a while now, and helping others is a passion of mine.
My Influential Professors
My most influential professor was Professor McClure because of the way she approached learning. Anytime class was overly stressful, she was good at lightening up the mood with good humor. She cares more about her students than any other professor or teacher I've seen before.
My Greatest Learning Experience At Oregon Tech
My experience in the anatomy and physiology classes was like an academic challenge harder than anything I had faced before. Learning how to study efficiently for college was my greatest experience, and I feel that from my high school I bring the quality of hard work and discipline.
My Plans After Graduation
After graduation, I plan to work as a nurse in the emergency department of a hospital. I would like to stay in Oregon, specifically, and hopefully get hired at whatever hospital needs the most help.
