A Little Bit About Me
I immigrated from Egypt in 2013, and growing up with frequent power outages inspired my passion for electrical engineering. I'm currently a full-time student at Oregon Tech, majoring in Electrical Engineering. I’m interning at Leidos, where I am gaining hands-on experience in power and electronics systems. I'm passionate about using technology to improve lives and plan to work in energy and electronics after graduation. In the future, I hope to lead projects that expand access to reliable power in underserved communities.
Why I Chose Oregon Tech and My Major
I chose Oregon Tech because of its strong reputation for hands-on engineering education and high job placement rates. I chose Electrical Engineering because I am passionate about solving real-world energy challenges and improving power infrastructure, especially in underserved communities like where I grew up.

My greatest learning experience at Oregon Tech has been applying engineering concepts in hands-on labs and real-world projects. Working through complex problems in team settings has strengthened my technical and communication skills.
My Plans After Graduation
After graduating, I plan to work in the fields of power systems, energy infrastructure, and electronics to gain valuable industry experience. I hope to eventually pursue a master’s degree and lead projects that focus on modernizing technology and expanding access to reliable energy.
