A Little Bit About Me
I am a passionate, caring, and fiercely motivated individual. I love exploring new paths, learning new things, and the feeling of constant progression. I have had a lot of things I've had to overcome in my life, but because of it, I have built a strong character. I push myself to constantly tackle new obstacles and learn as much as I can. I'm not afraid to be a little uncomfortable to learn new things and better myself.
Why I Chose Oregon Tech and My Major
I have always been independent, and I have always loved the idea of being in marketing or eventually becoming an entrepreneur. I suppose I knew that I wanted to be in business from the first time I went to a networking event and investing competition with my dad. I was no more than 10, but I went up on the stage with him to present his livestock business to investors, and I knew that I loved that environment.
My Influential Professors
My aunt, Lorraine, is an English professor who was instrumental in my life. Especially throughout high school, she taught me many things and continues to do so. When I had extra time between high school and my million extracurriculars, I would sit in on her writing classes. I would stay after, and we would go out to lunch and talk about life, about college, and just about everything else. Every conversation we had seemed bigger than just sitting and talking as friends. Lorry didn't just teach me how to write a good paper or how to get A's, she taught me about the ways we handle triumphs and tribulations and the importance of honesty and trust.
My Greatest Learning Experience At Oregon Tech
I am so excited to go to Oregon Tech, I remember walking in as a DECA competitor in an event and thinking how amazing the campus was. Everybody I have met at OIT has been incredibly welcoming, kind, and helpful as much as possible. I am ecstatic to be joining such an amazing place. I am a person who loves to be busy and do everything. I am looking forward to exploring everything I can and to being an avid, adventurous member of the community at OIT.
My Plans After Graduation
After graduating, I am excited to learn more about marketing through various jobs and projects that I will inevitably be doing. I hope to join some sort of marketing firm to begin with. Eventually I want to open my own business, but I know that will be a long and strenuous process, so I want to have some experience under my belt, and some money saved up.
