The William A. Olson, Jr. Entrepreneurial Laboratory, CEET 208, is a collaborative workspace designed to bring together students from both Colleges to promote cross-disciplinary problem solving, experiential learning, and the development of an entrepreneurial mindset. William "Bill" Andre Olson, Junior graduated from Oregon Tech in 1962 with a degree in highway technology and credited Oregon Tech for his successful career with the National Mapping Division of the U.S. Geological Service (USGS). His work at the USGS contributed to establishing the network of latitude and longitude coordinates and elevations that make today’s satellite-dependent global positioning system (GPS) possible. Through their contributions, Diedra (Bill’s sister) and Tom Thompson are very proud to honor Bill’s memory with the William A. Olson, Jr. Entrepreneurial Laboratory.
