A Little Bit About Me

I am the oldest of three sisters. My parents met while my dad was attending OIT and have lived in their first house since 2005. I enjoy many creative pursuits, including art, theater, and music. I've participated in five theater productions throughout my life, including three at my school and two at the Ross Ragland Theater. I've been attending Ju-Jitsu since my freshman year. I currently hold the rank of 1st brown belt, which is one rank under black belt, and six ranks past white belt. I've been entrusted with multiple responsibilities, including leading class in my Sensei's absence. I've attended Klamath Christian Center with my family my whole life, and being a part of the worship team has been an immensely rewarding experience. I plan to continue serving throughout my college years.

Why I Chose Oregon Tech and My Major

Oregon Tech has always been a part of my life. My dad graduated from OIT, and our family frequently attends the basketball games. It has some of the highest rankings on the West Coast, and I know I'm going to get a quality education. I've always been a creative person, but artists and authors don't have financially stable occupations. Marketing combines art and writing into a financially stable field.

My Influential Professors

One of the teachers who influenced me the most was my Global Studies teacher, Mr. Waite. He always set an excellent example for his students and maintained order in his classroom. His students respect him, and my class has the honor of having him open and close our graduation ceremony.

My Greatest Learning Experience At Oregon Tech

Some of my greatest learning experiences during high school were with my Pre-Calculus teacher, Mr. Cooper. He always taught in a way that demonstrated the application of what we were learning, and in a way that we could understand. He was always available for questions and would provide multiple example problems until we understood the concept.

My Plans After Graduation

I would like to start marketing for local businesses, build my portfolio, and work my way up to marketing for a larger company. By starting local, I can give back to my community and build the local economy. Once I've proven myself locally, I would like to move on to marketing for a larger company.
