To comply with Governor Kate Brown’s stay-at-home order, Oregon Tech on-campus operations have been suspended. At the Office of Academic Advising and Retention, we are adapting our services to meet this challenge. Academic advisors are available 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM via Zoom, email and phone. Keep in touch – stay connected.

The Office of Academic Advising & Retention is a professional advising center for all incoming Oregon Tech students. Our advisors meet with students individually to address a wide range of topics, including:

  • Finding and using campus resources
  • Understanding curriculum maps, transfer credits, and prerequisites
  • Time management and effective study/learning strategies
  • Social and emotional adaptation to college life

The ROCK helped me so much this year! The ROCK allows for students to get help with what they need help with, and allows for them to relax about what is going on with classes! It is an amazing program to help new students really get connected to the campus community and Klamath Falls. ROCK advisers encourage students along their first year at OIT, and direct them to resources on campus that can help them with their studies!

The ROCK has helped me become successful in both school and sports by setting forth a positive work ethic!
