Cruz Collin is a Renewable Energy Engineering student in Oregon Tech's Honors Program at the Klamath Falls campus, expected to graduate in June 2028. Originally from Keystone, South Dakota, and an enrolled member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe, Collin joined Oregon Tech in 2023.

Collin's research focuses on renewable energy systems, battery energy storage, hybrid energy production, and collaborations between Indigenous and Western science. In 2025 he became Oregon Tech's first Udall Scholar and has received Dreamstarter research grants to develop a sustainable energy generation system. He has co-authored peer-reviewed research and holds multiple patent applications
