Amber Lancaster

Amber Lancaster, Ph.D., an Associate Professor in Communication Studies at Oregon Tech, received a 2024 Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC) Technical and Scientific Communication Award for “Localized Usability and Agency in Design: Whose Voices Are We Advocating?” in Volume 69 Issue 4 of Technical Communication, coedited with Carie S. T. King, University of Texas at Dallas. Lancaster was awarded Best Original Collection of Essays in Technical or Scientific Communication.

In addition to teaching Communication, Lancaster is Program Director of Professional Writing and a Curriculum Coordinator for Technical Communication. She joined Oregon Tech in 2018.

The CCCC is a constituent organization within the National Council of Teachers of English.

Lancaster will be announced as a recipient of the Technical and Scientific Communication Award at the CCCC Awards Presentation on Friday, April 5, during the 2024 CCCC Annual Convention in Spokane, WA.
